PT Kimia Farma Tbk has partnered with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk to strengthen digitalisation in its business environment. The digitalisation process will begin in Q1 2018 at all apotek levels in Indonesia.

The CEO of Kimia Farma, Honesti Basyir, said that the company's digitalisation process is not a trivial matter and that the company has chosen to be a first mover. He added that the transformation must begin now and be led by Kimia Farma as a pharmaceutical industry. The digitalisation process will cover the entire value chain of Kimia Farma's business, from production to retail (apotek). The director of Enterprise and Business Services at Telkom, Dian Rachmawan, welcomed the partnership between the two state-owned companies, saying that Telkom's digital ecosystem capabilities and telecommunications infrastructure would help drive the implementation of ICT or digitalisation in Kimia Farma.
